Heart of Virginia Master Gardeners Plant Sale
The Heart of Virginia Master Gardener Association conducts a plant sale each year to raise funds for the organization's operations, and to support its community-based projects and programs. Plants for the sale are supplied by the membership. Some are seedlings that have been raised by members and are ready for transplanting. Others are divisions made by Master Gardeners from previously existing plants growing in local yards and gardens.
A wide variety of annuals, perennials, herbs and vegetable seedlings is available at the sale. Plants are reasonably priced from fifty cents to five dollars, with most under two dollars.
The plant sale is held at the Farmville Train Station on the first Saturday in May beginning at 9:00 in the morning and ending at 2:00 in the afternoon. If you are looking for quality plants at reasonable prices, mark May 2, 2009 on your calendar and join us at the train station! Plenty of parking is available.
